The hotel's charming half-timbered building, set on the historic market square, created a cozy and authentic atmosphere that perfectly matched the surrounding countryside. the room we stayed in was beautifully furnished with traditional wooden furniture, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. the room service and laundry facilities provided added convenience and made us feel right at home. the highlight of our mornings was the delicious breakfast buffet served in the elegant restaurant, where we could start our day with a variety of fresh and tasty options. the hotel's location, in the heart of the UNESCO Middle Rhine Valley, made it an ideal base for our explorations. We particularly enjoyed taking advantage of the nearby hiking trails, immersing ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty of the area. the shared garden was a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, while the onsite restaurant offered a fantastic selection of regional dishes that we savored on the terrace. Overall, our time at Altkölnischer Hof was truly memorable, and we look forward to returning to this gem in the German countryside.
